It may sound weird because I’m not a huge exercise fan, but finding out that I have high cholesterol at 22 can change some things for a person. Genetically speaking, it’s not too shocking because high cholesterol does run in my family, but I thought I’d be able to put off dealing with it for a while. Until I was 35 or something, but I guess not.
So instead of encouraging everyone to exercise their minds by reading today, I’m encouraging you to do something active. Make those muscles sore. You may feel like you’re dying right then, but you’ll feel better about yourself in the long run. Working out your body also helps to clear your mind. I’ve found that if I do something active during the day I’m more mentally productive at night.
It’s kind of the best of both worlds. Other than I’m a little low on sleep. That’s o.k., though. Naps are an awesome way to pass a sluggish afternoon.
