Yep. I finally got my first rejection letter. I’m not surprised, but I’m not upset either. The magazine I applied to looked pretty fancy, but at least they were nice enough to send a rejection letter. I’ve heard that some places don’t even do that.
I’ve had the time to apply to two more places, so we’ll see if anything comes of those. School has been super busy, and work is picking up speed, so I don’t have a great deal of free time. I figured my first rejection demanded some attention. :3
We are also going to be moving at the end of this month. It’s a little stressful considering that we don’t have a place lined up once we get to Texas, but I’ve heard that’s pretty common in a military move. This will be my first. When I moved up to Seattle I moved my stuff by myself, and the hubby had his things moved by the military. I’ve heard they do a good job with shipping everything.
I trust it, but it goes against my control freak nature to let anyone else handle any sort of responsibility. It will be a learning experience! The only thing that I’m genuinely concerned about it the animals. We’re going to be in the car for at least three days, and I’m just hoping that it doesn’t stress them out. The dog has gotten better, but our cat doesn’t like leaving the apartment. Poor boy. He’s going to be grumpy for a while after we move.
I’m off to read my next book for school. Hope everyone is having a productive day.
