This post is going to be short for several reasons. It’s late, I have a migraine, I’m moving, and pitching in a for a huge celebration for my husband who is finally finishing up his training to fly fighter jets.
Whoa.
It’s a lot, and even though I’d like to have the time to write, it simply isn’t feasible right now.
What do you do in a situation like that?
I tend to do two things: I let things germinate on back burner for a while. Think a long simmering pasta sauce. I deliberately think of part of my story that I’d like to progress, and while I’m boxing up the closet I can muddle through any ideas I might have.
It’s not a fail safe system, but it stops me from feeling guilty about not having the time to put pen to paper.
I don’t always think “it’s the thought that counts”, but when I’m elbow deep in packing paper it sure does help 😉
Sara,
You are amazing!! I love that you are so supportive and positive! I really love the way you put things into perspective <3
Aw thanks!
