A storm is on the horizon, and I can’t wait.

I’m back from visiting family in Colorado, and I always LOVE going back home. The draw is mostly family, but I also know where everything is like the back of my hand, and I’m just so comfortable there. Still, coming back home to a routine is always wonderful.

I’m really looking forward to the next couple weeks because I’m hoping to get my book finished. I feel like I’ve been saying that for weeks, and I probably have, but I kept hitting some speed bumps along the way. Hubby is off on a business trip, so I work on a more flexible schedule.

I always tend to work better late at night, but then I feel bad because it is time that I could be spending with the hubby. We only see each other a couple hours a week, so I’ve become pretty possessive about my time with him.

So as much as I hate him being gone, I’m going make it my goal to finish my book while he’s away.

It’s felt a bit like the calm before the storm this past week or so because I knew his business trip was coming up, and I knew that my plan was to finish while he’s gone. I’m anxious to get started, but I’m also trying not to work when hubby is home because I know I won’t see him for a while.

I’m going to keep careful track and report back on how much work I get done from today until next Wednesday when I post again. I should really put that at the end of each Wednesday’s post to keep myself honest. Or just write it down somewhere so that I can hold myself accountable…..

Anyhow, I’m puppy sitting today and so I have two very slobbery, happy dogs running around the house, and it’s too nice outside to work indoors today. 🙂
